SRT1720 is an NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-1 (SIRT1) activator (EC50 = 0.16 μM), highly selective for SIRT1 over SIRT2 or SIRT3. Studies in yeast suggest that sirtuins may be involved in epigentic gene silencing and deactylation of proteins that regulate the cell cycle.
Soluble in water (< 1 mg/mL at 25 °C), DMSO (38 mg/mL at 25 °C), and ethanol (< 1 mg/mL at 25 °C).
