Is siRNA Transfection Reagent sc-29528 appropriate for mouse GLUTag cell line?

Asked by: Alshehri2
Thank you for your question. siRNA Transfection Reagent: sc-29528 has been optimized for a variety of cell lines including HeLa, A549, Jurkat and NIH/3T3 and is well-suited for a broad spectrum of other mammalian cell lines. GLUTag cells are not particularly hard to transfect and while siRNA Transfection Reagent: sc-29528 has not been established with this cell line in our labs, there should be no issue using it with GLUTag cells.

can I use eurofins genomics transfection reagent for santa cruz siRNA in MCF-7 cell line

Asked by: keivan ramezan mobini
Thank you for your question. This is not something we have tried as we use our own transfection reagent, but if it is a standard reagent for transfection, it should be fine. whether this transfection reagent will suitable for neonatal rat cardiomyocyte ?

Asked by: Sanket
Thank you for your question. This transfection reagent should be fine for rat cardiomyocytes, but if you are working on primary cells, I would suggest an alternate method (such as viral delivery). With all transfection reagents there is always a risk of cytotoxicity, so we would suggest testing on a sample of your cells first. If you have any further questions, please contact Technical Service by phone, (800)-457-3801 option 2, email <scbt@scbt.com>, or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com.

Will it be applicable for primary melanocyte culture for silencing?

Asked by: niharika
Thank you for your question. You can try to use the transfection reagent on your primary cells, although I would be concerned about cytotoxicity. A better option for primary cells would be to use a viral approach, such as lentiviral shRNA. If you have any further questions, please contact our Asia Technical Service team. Is Reagent: sc-29528 appropriate for transfection of primary B-CLL cells?

Asked by: ammmm
Thank you for your question. We have not tested the transfection efficiency of our siRNA Transfection Reagent: sc-29528 with primary B-CLL cells. We would recommend using fluorescently conjugated Control siRNA (FITC Conjugate): sc-36869 to measure transfection efficiency in your cell line prior to use for siRNA transfection.
