What secondary reagent should I use with p-Tyr Antibody (PY99) for Western blot?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend using one of our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins as a secondary detection reagent, such as m-IgGκ BP-HRP: sc-516102, for Western blot. A complete list of all available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Is it possible to use this p-Tyr (PY99) mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemistry in mouse tissue?

Asked by: Trav11
Yes, it is possible. If working with mouse tissue, we recommend using our directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibodies. The p-Tyr Antibody (PY99): sc-7020 is currently available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-7020 PE), fluorescein (sc-7020 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-7020 AF488), Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-7020 AF647), Alexa Fluor® 405 (sc-7020 AF405), biotin (sc-7020 B) or alkaline phosphatase (sc-7020 AP).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potent antibody for Western blotting This monoclonal antibody was independently tested by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and is recommended for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of ~160 kDa EGF receptor in overnight serum-starved human A431 cells treated for 5 minutes with EGF on Western blots. As expected, EGF treatment also increased phosphorylation of other proteins, including ~44 kDa ERK1 and ~42 kDa ERK2.
