Human Insulin, Solution is a 10 mg/ml Insulin solution in Hepes buffer, the Human Insulin used to prepare the solution is derived from Escherichia Coli. This product has been sterile-filtered and cell culture tested. The action of insulin in mammalian cell culture is primarily through the binding and activation of IGF-IR (IGF-1R). In mammalian cell culture, recombinant insulin is added at approximately 100 times the physiological concentration. Insulin at this high concentration acts as a growth factor, with anti-apoptotic and mitogenic effects. Human Insulin, Solution is an activator of insulin R.

Usage :
Contains 9.5-10.5 mg/ml recombinant Human insulin in 25mM HEPES buffer. This solution is suitable for use in mammalian cell culture applications at 0.5 mL to 1 mL per liter of medium.
Each lot is tested and verified for use in cell culture, however the activity units, insulin concentration, and purity have not been assessed.
