GW-441756 is a specific Trk A (tropomyosin-related kinase A) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, reported to block cell death induced by Trk A. Trk A is an important kinase involved in apoptosis, cell differentiation and survival. NGF promotes autophosphorylation of Trk A, which causes Trk A activation.
