Cibacron Blue Agarose is useful in the isolation of enzymes requiring NAD+ and NADP, albumin, interferon, steroid receptors, and 25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3-receptor. It has been shown to bind to several enzymes with known affinities to nucleotide cofactors. Cibacron Blue Agarose has also been shown to bind o dehydrogenases, kinases, restriction endonucleases, albumin, and interferon.

Thanks. Note that the Cibacron Blue 3GA used in that paper was purchased from sigma. it was called Cibacron Blue 3GA in particular. Is these two the same product? Thanks.

Asked by: silacgen
Thank you for your question. Yes, the product we offer is the same product referenced in the paper referenced in a previously posted answer.

Can it be used for NADH binding ability assay?

Asked by: silacgen
Thank you for your question. Yes, Cibacron Blue Agarose: sc-294028, is suitable for use in a NADH binding ability assay. We have not performed this test ourselves, however there are references in the literature supporting the use of this product for that application. For example, PMID: 21969607, "Tyrosine phosphorylation of lactate dehydrogenase A is important for NADH/NAD(+) redox homeostasis in cancer cells."

What is the concentration of this product?

Asked by: Jz28sail
Contains 2-5 umoles of Cibacron Blue F3GA per ml gel. 4% crosslinked agarose; molecular exclusion limit is approximately 20 million dalton. Specific ligand concentration is determined by aliquot of resin suspended in 75% glycerol and OD260 measured against unsubstituted agarose beads.
