Bilobalide is a terpenoid extracted from ginkgo biloba leaves with potent protective effects on neurons and Schwann cells. It has also been discovered to inhibit the hypoxia-induced reduction of ATP and under normoxic conditions increase glucose transport. Bilobalide is a inhibitor of GABA Receptor and SR. Bilobalide is a activator of MB67.
