There is still precipitation in this product, is it still good?
Asked by: hawkeye11
Thank you for your question.
In 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMI), sc-352647, you may see small precipitates in the liquid which are the CMI and MI organic ingredients. These may sometimes not fully dissolve since the product is in aqueous solution and needs to stay at these concentrations. The product is still usable for its biological and chemical purposes.

Good morning :-) Is this diluted in water now? It seems to by looking at the SDS - but according to my lab mates, this was previously dissolved in methanol. I notice that it comes out of solution rather easily. Is vortexing sufficient before use? Thanks!
Asked by: Jenn
Thank you for your question. Yes, this is an aqueous solution, it is ideal if you vortex or sonicate it before use.
