How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Tom70 (A-8): sc-390545?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great antibody we tested this antibody in wb in dilutiion 1/250 in Hela cells. we detected one band in 70 KDa. it was a good antibody

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I tried the Tom70 in my ovary cryosections mitochondrial staining and it worked very well. Good choice for mito marker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features I use Tom70 antibody(A-8)in WB at 1:200,HCCLM3 cells,electrophoretic transfer film(PVDF) with 300mA ,30min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work well for immunofluorescence in mouse oocytes The Tom70 antibody produced nice staining of mitochondria in mouse MI oocytes. The oocytes were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde in PIPES buffer with 100mM KCl, pH 7.2, permeabilized with 0.5% Triton X100, blocked with 2%BSA in PBS and incubated with the primary antibody 1:50 overnight. As a secondary antibody, we used donkey anti-mouse Alexa 488 antibody diluted 1:300.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good in WB and IF Expected band in mouse macrophage cell line in WB, 1/300. Good signal in IF 1/50, mouse neurons, PFA-fixed.
Date published: 2017-08-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great antibody! I used this antibody at a dilution of 1:500 to stain PC-3 prostate cancer cells. The anti body works excellent without any background. I highly recommend using this antibody in IF to detect TOM70.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for both western and immunofluorescenc This is a great replacement for the discontinued Tom20 polyclonal antibody for immunofluorescence labeling (4% PFA fixed HeLa cells). It also works well for westerns (crude mitochondrial fraction from mouse brain).
