Datasheets

    • TBS Blotto A is supplied as a lyophilized powder in a single-use bottle; final reconstituted volume of 500 mL
    • Blocking buffer and antibody diluent for both primary and secondary antibody incubations to reduce non-specific binding and background in Western blotting applications; preferred over BSA
    • contains 5% milk, 0.05% Tween-20; Tween-20 is included in a separate vial in liquid form
    • makes a 1x solution when reconstituted to the final volume of 500 ml in deionized H2O
    • TBS Blotto A is the preferred choice of blocking buffer and antibody diluent over BSA or alternative blocking buffers; strongly recommended to be used as an antibody diluent for both primary and secondary antibody incubations to reduce non-specific binding and background
    • Recommended to reduce overall background, and minimize non-specific signals commonly associated with enhanced chemiluminescent (ECL) protein detection methods using HRP conjugated primary and secondary antibodies, or mouse IgG binding proteins
    • If using direct conjugated primary antibodies or for near-infrared (NIR) detection methods, we strongly recommend our alternative product, UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent (sc-516214)
    • For phospho-specific antibodies, we recommend our alternative product, TBS Blotto B (sc-2335) which contains a unique formulation of 1% milk, 1% blocking reagent, 0.05% Tween-20

I was reconstituted tbs blotto A in 500 ml with bidistilled water. Unused reconstitue blotto a was stored at 37°C. Is it true?

Asked by: Eylem76
Thank you for your question. Dissolved blotto can be kept at +4 °C for a couple of days, but using freshly made blotto is recommended.
