SNC 121 Dihydrochloride is a highly selective, non-peptide δ agonist. SNC 121 Dihydrochloride is a saturated analog of the potent, selective δ opioid receptor agonist SNC 80. Compared to SNC 80, SNC 121 Dihydrochloride has a similar binding profile to its parent compound. Studies showed that treatment with SNC 121 Dihydrochloride resulted in the inhibition of Pattern-electroretinogram loss in hypertensive eyes. SNC 121 Dihydrochloride treatment also inhibited p38 MAP kinase activation in astrocytes.
