R-(+)-DIOA acts as an inhibitor of the K+/Cl--cotransporter (KCC) that does not affect the bumetanide-sensitive Na+/K+/Cl--cotransport system.

Soluble in DMSO (>20 mg/ml), 0.1 M NaOH, and ethanol. Insoluble in water(<0.11 mg/mL), and 0.1 M HCl.

If needed, you can freeze tightly sealed aliquots for up to a month. The aliquot should thaw at room temp for at least an hour. Multiple freeze and thaw cycles should be avoided.
