I am using p27 (DCS-72): sc-56338 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good antibody! 1:200 diluted for wb of rat heart protein, the band is strong .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from p27 on zebrafish We tried p27 DCS72 on zebrafish protein and we see a slight sign on WB, there are some lines if you stain it overnight at 4°C, at a concetration of 1:500, with a secunder ab concentration of 1:000. We would be happy to see more but it is better than if we stain it on RT, and at least it is principially not recommended for zebrafish. There are aspecific lines too.
