Thank you for your question. The expected molecular weight for these phosphorylated proteins is published on our antibody data sheets. You can still download the data sheets for these now discontinued antibodies by searching on our website with the Data Sheet search, or use the link below: https://www.scbt.com/resources/datasheet-search

What secondary is best to use with p-Akt1 (5.Ser 473): sc-293125?

Asked by: jenni
Thank you for your question. While most anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies are appropriate for use with p-Akt1 (5.Ser 473): sc-293125 monoclonal antibody, we recommend using one our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins as a secondary detection reagent. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good results Worked good on tumor epithelial cells, IHC staining, 1:100 dilution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This antibody works for western blot. We acquired this antibody about 7 months ago. We performed western blot using HeLa cells whole cell lysates at a dilution of 1 to 1000. We were able to detect the protein with one minute exposure. This was repeated twice with success.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good antibodies I used this antibodies in Western blot in dilution 1:1000. It works good but in little background.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from p-AKT1 (5.Ser 473) I used this antibodies at 1:1000 dilution on western blot with 30ug of protein from cell line. After immunodetection was a lot of non-specific bands higher and lower from the correct band, so it was difficult to discern correct bands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for Akt2, but poor for Akt1 or Akt3 I used this antibody at 1:1000 dilution on a western blot with 100 ug of protein from tissue. The 55 kDa band was great for Akt2, but very weak for Akt1 or Akt3. Also, many non-specific bands both higher and lower from the correct kDa sizes making it slightly difficult to discern correct bands to analyze.
