What is the recommended secondary reagent to be used with this mouse monoclonal primary?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend using one our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins as a secondary detection reagent. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good specificity in WB in HEK293T cells I have used this Ab for western blot in HEK293T cell lysate under the following condition and I saw nic bands as visible in an attached image. conditon: 9% gel Dilution: 1:700 Incubation: 2h R.T High exposure
Date published: 2021-05-04
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great signal I bought the ab last month and it gives a good signal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good sensitivity for WB No cross-reactivity with MEK-1. Detect multiple non-specific bands with 293 lysate, but distinguishable from MEK-2. Be careful of a weak non-specific band slightly above MEK-2

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antibody for westerns diluted at 1000X and used with Kappa-binding HRP as secondary and the blot turned out perfect.
Date published: 2017-06-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bands with MEK2(sc-13159) Cos-7 was transfected with pcDNA-3HA, MEK1-HA, MEK2-HA and MEK4-HA using lipo2000, 48h later, harvest cells with RIPA for western blot assay using MEK2(sc-13159, 1:10 00 dilution), MEK2 overexpression was observed and the antibody not interact with MEK1 and MEK4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great in IP stain We used this antibody in an IP stain and got clear results for human cells

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly This monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of the ~47 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested, but the antibody seems to pick up a slightly lower molecular mass protein that is the same size as MEK1.
