Datasheets

    • mouse IgG kappa binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)
    • supplied at 200 µg in 0.5 ml volume
    • Highly recommended alternative to conventional anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies for chemiluminescence Western blotting (WB [ECL]) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
    • Suitable for binding to about 46%, but not all, mouse IgGκ light chain immunoglobulins; not suitable for use with mouse monoclonal IgGλ light chain antibodies
    • Highly specific reagent that provides strong signal with minimal background and virtually complete elimination of lot to lot variation associated with conventionally generated secondary antibodies
    • For a Cruz Marker™ compatible mouse IgG kappa binding protein, use m-IgGκ BP-HRP (Cruz Marker) (sc-516102-CM) (Click here for datasheet)
    • For mouse IgGλ immunoglobulins we recommend m-IgGλ BP-HRP (sc-516132)
    • Mouse IgG binding proteins are recommended for some, but not all of our monoclonal antibodies. Product descriptions on our monoclonal antibody product pages will state if the Mouse IgG binding protein is the preferred detection reagent for that product.
    • Also see our new m-IgGκ BP-FITC, PE, CFL 488, CFL 555, CFL 594, CFL 647, CFL 680 and CFL 790 fluorescent dye conjugates. These represent substantial improvements compared to conventional polyclonal anti-mouse secondary antibody fluorescent dye conjugates.

I have two vials of this product on hand. Unfortunately, I did not instruct my associates to mark when they were opened or when they were received. Can you tell me which vial is oldest by the lot #? I have one vial of Lot# G0617 and one of Lot# B2620.

Hi, regarding m-IgGkBP-HRP (SC-516102), May I know the recommended starting dilution for western blot? Can I see the result by the naked eye? or What is reagents that I have to use to observe the bands? Can you introcduct to me some reagents?

Asked by: Sevan
Thank you for your question. As indicated in the product datasheet, the recommended starting dilution is 1:1000, with a dilution range of 1:1000-1:10000. Our recommended support products for visualization is Western Blotting Luminol Reagent sc-2048. Luminol requires a device for detection of chemiluminescence.

Would this protein bind to human IgG kappa light chain present in the sample and cause non-specific signals?

Asked by: Stanley S
Thank you for your question. This product is specific against mouse Ig and should not cross-react with human samples.

I'm using this product for detection of COX-2 and HIF-1a primary AB (Santa Cruz as well), in recommended dilution. Still, have too many unspecific bindings. My blocking buffer is 5% nonfat milk with TBST, blockage time 1h.

Can I use Mouse IgG kappa Binding Protein conjugated to HRP for double-immunostainig? Does this Binding Protein recognize other animal IgG such as rabbit or Goat?

Asked by: YT1984
Thank you for your question. Mouse IgG kappa Binding Proteins recognize any mouse IgG that possess a kappa light chain (IgG, IgA, IgM). It should not cross-react with Ig of other species such as rabbit or goat.
