LY 344864 hydrochloride is a potent and selective SR-1F agonist with an EC₅₀ of 3 nM. This compound has been shown to display > 80-fold selectivity over other serotonin receptors (K_i values are 0.006, 0.53, 0.55, 0.56, 1.42, 1.70, 3.50, 3.94 and 4.85 µM for SR-1F, SR-1A, SR-1B, SR-1D, SR-1E, SR-2B, SR-2C, SR-2A, and SR-7, respectively). Furthermore LY 344864 hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit neurogenic dural inflammation in vivo.

Soluble to 50 mM in water and to 100 mM in DMSO
