IFN-β Antibody (MIB-8C4.1) is a Armenian hamster monoclonal IgG provided at 200 µg/ml
raised against recombinant IFN of mouse origin
IFN-beta Antibody (MIB-8C4.1) is recommended for detection of IFN-β of mouse origin by WB and IP
Anti-IFN-beta Antibody (MIB-8C4.1) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
Contact our Technical Service Department (or your local Distributor) for more information on how to receive a FREE 10 µg sample of IFN-β (MIB-8C4.1): sc-53586.
At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for IFN-β Antibody (MIB-8C4.1). This work is in progress.

The genes encoding type I interferons (IFNs), which include 14 IFN-α genes, one IFN-β gene, one IFN-w (also known as IFN-α II1) gene, and a number of IFN-w pseudogenes, are clustered on human chromosome 9. Interferons-α and -β are cytokines that are widely known to induce potent antiviral activity. IFN-α and -β exert a variety of other biological effects, including antitumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases. IFN-w is antigenically different from human IFN-α, IFN-β or IFN-γ, but is a component of natural mixtures of IFN species produced by virus-induced leukocytes or Burkitt's lymphoma cells. The type I interferon receptor (IFN-αR) interacts with IFN-α, IFN-β and IFN-w, and seems to be a multisubunit receptor.
