I want to stain splenocytes with recombinant GST-fused receptor X to cell-sort bound population with flow cytometry. To aim this, I need to buy anti-GST antibody which recognizes native GST structure. Is this clone good for this purpose?

Asked by: Oklahoma City
Thank you for your question. We do not know if this monoclonal antibody will recognize native GST structure.

I purchased AF488-labeled anti-GST antibody (B-14) for detecting the binding of my GST-fused protein on cells expressing ligand by flow cytometry (FCM). But I did not see AF488 staining. Does this B-14 work ok to recognize native GST structure?

Can it be used for IF in cell lines? If not, do you have GST antibody for IF?

Asked by: Noddang
Thank you for your question. This antibody is not recommended for IF. We recommend sc-374171 as a good alternative for this application.

I would like to know which is the epitope that it is recognized by the antibody. I have to include this epitope as a control in a peptide array. Thanks.

Asked by: Emiliano
Thank you for your question. This antibody was raised against the 26 kDa GST specific domain of a fusion protein encoded by a pGEX.3X recombinant vector. The exact epitope has not been epitope mapped. If you have any further questions, please contact Technical Service.
