1. Do you have a conRFP/mcherry lentiviral particles? 2. I need to knockdown a gene and label the cell with GFP. Can I simply mix the coGFP lentiviral particles with the target gene shRNA lentiviral particles?

Thank you for your question. We do not offer a control Lentiviral Particle product with RFP or mCherry. This product, copGFP Control Lentiviral Particles sc-108084, is intended to be used as a control to measure transduction efficiency. We would not recommend co-transfecting the copGFP Control Lentiviral Particles with the target gene shRNA Lentiviral Particles. We recommend transducing the cells separately. In measuring GFP post-transduction, you can measure relative transduction efficiency of your cells. However, if you co-transfected, you could not guarantee that the cells that were successfully transduced with GFP, were also succesfully transduced with your target gene shRNA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal control for lentivirus transduction Outstanding companion product to any Santa Cruz lentiviral vectors. copGFP is very bright when examined under fluorescence microscope or on nitrocellulose membrane (in Cy2 channel using fluorescence WB imager). This can also be detected by western blotting using turboGFP antibodies, as published in doi: 10.1021/acsomega.0c03112
