Colivelin is a neuroprotective peptide and activator of STAT3. Colivelin protects neurons against the neurotoxic effects of amyloid β-peptide (1-43) at a concentration of 100 fM in vitro. Colivelin suppresses neuronal death by activating STAT3 in vitro. Colivelin protects against β-amyloid neurotoxicity. Colivelin also upregulates cholinergic transmission and ameliorates memory impairment in Alzheimer′s disease (AD) models. Colivelin prevents alcohol-induced apoptosis in a fetal mouse model. Colivelin is considered a brain penetrant. Colivelin is also known as H-Ser-Ala-Leu-Leu-Arg-Ser-Ile-Pro-Ala-Pro-Ala-Gly-Ala-Ser-Arg-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Thr-Gly-Glu-Ile-Asp-Leu-Pro-OH, and L-seryl-L-alanyl-L-leucyl-L-leucyl-L-arginyl-L-seryl-L-isoleucyl-L-prolyl-L-alanyl-L-prolyl-L-alanylglycyl-L-alanyl-L-seryl-L-arginyl-L-leucyl-L-leucyl-L-leucyl-L-leucyl-L-threonylglycyl-L-α-glutamyl-L-isoleucyl-L-α-aspartyl-L-leucyl-L-proline.

Is Colivelin specific for the activation of STAT3, and what else transcription factors are activated by Colivelin?

It is a STAT3 activator; also protects against β-amyloid neurotoxicity, but we do not know more about this.
