Application: Chromeo™ 488 streptavidin is an effective green fluorescent dye for bioanalysis
For Research Use Only. Not Intended for Diagnostic or Therapeutic Use.
* Refer to Certificate of Analysis for lot specific data (including water content).

Chromeo™ 488 streptavidin is conjugated to Chromeo™ 488, a reactive fluorescent dye that serves as a bright label for antibodies and other biomolecules, enabling detection in immunofluorescence, high content screening, ELISA and FRET applications, as well as in flow cytometry. The fluorescent properties of Chromeo™ 488 meet the specifications required to perform STED and GSDIM microscopy. It is comparable to CruzFluor™ 488 and CruzFluor sm™ dyes. It has a quantum yield of 27% and a dye to protein ratio 1.5-2.0.

Is there a recommended concentration for use?

Asked by: atamash
We are not currently aware of any publications in which the Chromeo™ 488 streptavidin dye was used as a reference. The below journal article describes how a different Chromeo 488 dye was used at a concentration of 5 ug/ml (Figure 7). We would recommend trying different concentrations of Chromeo™ 488 streptavidin to determine optimal use. de Freitas, A. et al. 2012. J. Immunol. 188(12): 6381-6388. PMID: 22573805
