Che-1 Antibody (AATF2B6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Che-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Che-1 antibody (AATF2B6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Che-1, also known as apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor (AATF), is a crucial nuclear protein that plays a significant role in regulating cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Che-1 becomes hyperphosphorylated during G1/S phase transition, which is essential for proper cell cycle progression. Che-1 functions as a general inhibitor of histone deacetylase HDAC1, and Che-1 binding to retinoblastoma protein (Rb) pocket region can displace HDAC1 from Rb/E2F complexes, thereby activating E2F target genes that promote cell cycle progression. Che-1 has been shown to antagonize pro-apoptotic effects of PAR4 (prostate apoptosis response 4), a protein associated with neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer′s disease. Che-1 interaction with PAR4 suggests a potential regulatory role in modulating PAR4 activity, which is critical for understanding implications in neurodegenerative diseases. Che-1 co-localizes with PAR4 in both cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments, highlighting importance in cellular signaling pathways.
