Calbindin D28K Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody targeting the Calbindin D28K protein, also known as CALB1, calbindin 1, D-28K, or vitamin D-dependent calcium-binding protein. Raised against amino acids 35–84 near the N-terminus of human Calbindin D28K, anti-Calbindin D28K antibody (D-4) detects the protein across multiple species, including mouse, rat, bovine, porcine, and human, via western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Calbindin D28K is a critical calcium-binding protein that functions to buffer intracellular calcium levels, modulating calcium signaling pathways essential for neuronal excitability and neurotransmitter release.
