Datasheets
  • APRIN Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 1254-1273 of APRIN of human origin
  • recommended for detection of APRIN of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for APRIN Antibody (F-9) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with APRIN Antibody (F-9) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

APRIN Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects an epitope mapping between amino acids 1254-1273 of APRIN of human origin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). APRIN monoclonal antibody (F-9) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. APRIN, also known as androgen-induced proliferation inhibitor, Androgen Shutoff 3 (AS3), or PDS5 regulator of cohesion maintenance homolog B (PDS5B), plays a crucial role in regulating androgen-dependent growth arrest in prostate cells, specifically mediating cell cycle arrest in the G0/G1 phase of prostate epithelial cells. APRIN (F-9) antibody recognizes a protein that is highly conserved and features a nuclear localization sequence near its C-terminal, a DNA-binding domain, a coiled-coil domain, a leucine zipper, and a protein kinase domain, which are essential for cellular processes. APRIN localization in the nucleus suggests involvement in transcriptional regulation and potential interactions with other nuclear proteins. APRIN expression in smooth muscle stromal cells and both basal and luminal epithelial cells highlights significance in prostate tissue homeostasis. A loss of the gene encoding APRIN has been strongly correlated with the development of prostate cancer, making anti-APRIN antibody (F-9) a valuable tool for studying its role in normal physiology and disease contexts.
