Adenosine 5'-Triphosphate, disodium salt is a p2 purinergic (P2X and P2Y) agonist that increases Ca²⁺-activated K⁺ channel activity. It has been found to induce a release of prostoglandin D2 and histamine from rat peritoneal mast cells in a dose-dependent manner.
