6-Hydroxy Chlorzoxazone-d2 (6-HCP-d2) is a labeled analogue of 6-Hydroxy Chlorzoxazone (sc-210516), a major metabolite of chlorzoxazone, and is formed by the actions of cytochrome P450IIE1. 6-Hydroxy Chlorzoxazone-d2 binds to and activates certain enzymes, such as cytochrome P450s, as well as certain receptors, such as the G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR). It has been used in a variety of experiments, including those involving drug metabolism, enzyme studies, cell signaling, and the regulation of gene expression. In addition, 6-Hydroxy Chlorzoxazone-d2 may act to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects.
