MEN10376 is a NK-2R (Tachykinin (neurokinin 2), NK2 receptor) antagonist that is used in a variety of neurokinin receptors studies. NK2 receptors mediate contractile effects in the human small intestine and colon circular muscle strips. Studies show that activation of NK2 increases that excitability of capsaicin-responsive (C-R) phasic afferent neurons.
