LAT Antibody (LAT-01) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects LAT in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). LAT, or linker for activation of T cells, is a crucial integral membrane protein that plays a significant role in T cell activation by serving as a signaling hub. Upon T cell receptor engagement, LAT associates with various signaling molecules, including phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLC γ1), GRB2, and the p85 subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase), facilitating a cascade of intracellular signaling events that lead to T cell proliferation and differentiation. Notably, LAT undergoes palmitoylation, a post-translational modification that is essential for tyrosine phosphorylation and proper localization to glycolipid-enriched microdomains within the cell membrane. This localization is critical as LAT enhances the efficiency of signal transduction, ultimately influencing the activation of transcription factors such as AP-1 and NFAT, which are vital for the immune response. Anti-LAT antibody (LAT-01) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell signaling pathways and their implications in immune responses.
