m-IgGκ BP-HRP (mouse IgGκ binding protein-HRP) is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3) is a high quality monoclonal Cytokeratin 19 antibody (also designated KRT19 antibody, Keratin 19 antibody) suitable for the detection of the Cytokeratin 19 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-Cytokeratin 19 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Cytokeratin 19 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cytokeratins comprise a diverse group of intermediate filament proteins (IFPs) that are expressed as pairs in both keratinized and non-keratinized epithelial tissue. Cytokeratins play a critical role in differentiation and tissue specialization and function to maintain the overall structural integrity of epithelial cells and have been found to be useful markers of tissue differentiation, which is directly applicable to the characterization of malignant tumors. For example, many types of cancer cells express Cytokeratin 19 (CK19), an epithelial cytoskeletal protein within the suprabasal squamous epithelium. Cytokeratin 19 is a specific marker of moderate to severe dysplasia and carcinoma in situ in oral cavity squamous epithelium, and measurement of Cytokeratin 19 may be a useful marker in diagnosing hepatoma. Cytokeratin 19 fragment levels in serum have been documented as a marker for lung cancer. Clinical investigations have suggested that serum CYFRA 21-1, a fragment of Cytokeratin 19, may be among the most useful tumor markers.

Thank you for your question. Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3): sc-376126 is only recommended for detection of Cytokeratin 19 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. It has not been tested on canine tissues or cells.

How can Cytokeratin 19 Antibody (A-3): sc-376126 be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This mouse monoclonal antibody is currently available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-376126 PE), fluorescein (sc-376126 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-376126 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-376126 AF647)
Did not work in rat tongueKeratin19 labels taste bud in rat tongue but this one is staining only few cell in the taste bud with a high background.
work fine in IHC,but unknown in IFThe antibody work in IF and IHC at 1:100 for mouse primary liver cancer cells, hepa1-6 cells and 3T3 cells, but the FITC is negative through stained.Maybe these cells essentially can't express the protein or other reasons. After we searched the certain cell lines of full CK19 expression, namely hepaG2, BUT we are sorry to be note that the sample is over. (The photo of IHC work fine, but we didn't upload resulted by the store location of photos.) 3T3 cells for negative group.
Very good for FFPEThis antibody was used on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human carcinomas at a dilution of 1:30 for 15 minutes. Staining was very good.
Doesn't work for immunofluorescence on mouse cellsUsed on mouse ovarian epithelial cells at 1/100 overnight at 4C then 1/500 goat α-mouse secondary for 1H at room temp. Low signal to noise ratio.
Cytokeratin 19We used Cytokeratin 19 as a marker of HepG2 cells with IF and got nice stainning
Outstanding for multiple applications !!Great antibody for WB, IHC and IF studies; much better than polyclonal alternatives
Versatile AntibodyThis antibody is well-cited for a variety of applications including WB, IP, IF, and even IHC and ELISA. Strong, clear signal with little to no background. Works well in a variety of species including mouse, rat, equine, and human samples.
Good product.I recieved it 1 mouth ago and used it for IF,1:100,not bad.
