Xinα Antibody (41) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Xinα in mouse samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. Xinα, also known as CMYA1 (Cardiomyopathy-associated protein 1) or XIRP1 (xin actin-binding repeat containing 1), is a crucial 1,843 amino acid protein that plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of actin filaments by preventing their depolymerization. Xinα is primarily localized at cell junctions alongside actin stress fibers, where Xinα contains 15 Xin repeats that are essential for stabilizing actin-based cytoskeletons and facilitating the crosslinking of microfilaments with actin networks. Xinα interaction with key proteins such as β-catenin, Filamin, and VASP (vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein) underscores Xinα importance in cellular architecture and signaling pathways. Xinα shares 78% similarity with its mouse counterpart and is expressed in the heart as three alternatively spliced isoforms designated A, B, and C. In murine models, Xinα is indispensable for proper heart tube formation and correct cardiac looping, indicating that Xinα human homolog may serve similar critical functions in cardiac development and health.
