    SEE ALSO...

WC4 Antibody (CC57) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WC4 protein of ovine, caprine, and bovine origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). WC4 (CC57) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WC4, also known as workshop cluster 4, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by being selectively expressed on the surface of B-lymphocytes. WC4 is essential for the activation of intracellular signaling pathways, including the Ras and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways, which are vital for B-cell proliferation and differentiation. Activation of WC4 leads to the cross-linking of immunoglobulin chains on the B-cell membrane, facilitating the recruitment of Src family protein tyrosine kinases that further enhance B-cell signaling. WC4 forms functional complexes with other B-lymphocyte surface proteins such as integrin β1, CD21, and CD81, which are integral to regulating B-cell development and function. Expression of WC4 is maintained throughout B-cell maturation and persists even as B-cells differentiate into plasma cells, highlighting its importance in sustaining immune responses. Bovine WC4 has been identified as a homolog of CD19, reinforcing its significance in B-cell biology and its potential applications in immunological research.

How can WC4 (CC57): sc-101844 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Trav11
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-101844 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-101844 FITC).
