TEX13A Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TEX13A of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TEX13A (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TEX13A, also known as Testis-expressed sequence 13A, is a 409 amino acid protein specifically expressed in the testis, where TEX13A plays a crucial role in the pre-meiotic stages of mammalian spermatogenesis. TEX13A is one of two human orthologs of the mouse Tex13 protein and contains a RanBP2-type zinc finger domain, which is believed to be involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport, a vital process for cellular function and development. The gene encoding TEX13A is located on chromosome X, and abnormalities in this region may contribute to conditions such as azoospermia, characterized by a complete absence of sperm in male semen. Understanding TEX13A function and regulation is essential, as research may provide insights into male fertility and the underlying genetic factors associated with reproductive disorders. Chromosome X, which houses over 1,000 genes, is also implicated in various genetic conditions, highlighting the significance of studying proteins like TEX13A in the context of human health and disease.
