Syntaxin 5 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaxin 5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Syntaxin 5 antibody (B-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaxin 5 plays a crucial role in the vesicular transport system, which is vital for the proper functioning and survival of eukaryotic cells. Syntaxin 5 is primarily located in the cis-Golgi, where Syntaxin 5 facilitates the fusion of vesicles with target membranes, a process essential for the transport of proteins and lipids within the cell. The unique structure of Syntaxin 5, characterized by a short transmembrane domain, ensures localization to the cis-Golgi, allowing interaction with other SNARE proteins to form stable complexes that drive membrane fusion.
