PMF-1 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PMF-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PMF-1 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PMF-1, also known as polyamine-modulated factor 1, is a crucial 205 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in kinetochore formation, which is essential for accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. Located primarily in the nucleus, PMF-1 features a coiled-coil domain that facilitates interaction with the leucine-zipper domain of Nrf2, a key regulator of antioxidant response. This interaction modulates the transcription of SSAT, an enzyme that governs polyamine catabolism, thereby influencing cellular growth and differentiation. PMF-1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, with moderate levels found in the liver and kidney, and exists in five isoforms generated through alternative splicing, highlighting functional diversity and importance in cellular processes.
