p15 INK4B Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize human p15 INK4B protein, also known as CDKN2B, MTS2, TP15, and CDK4I. p15 INK4B monoclonal antibody (D-12) targets a precise epitope located between amino acids 103-137 at the C-terminus of p15 INK4B protein, ensuring robust and selective binding in various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p15 INK4B protein is primarily localized in the nucleus of the cell, where p15 INK4B plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinases Cdk4 and Cdk6. This inhibition is vital for controlling the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase, thereby maintaining proper cell cycle checkpoints and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation, which is a key factor in tumor development. p15 INK4B functions as a tumor suppressor and acts as an effector in TGFβ-mediated cell cycle arrest, with p15 INK4B expression being significantly upregulated in response to TGFβ treatment in human keratinocytes. Anti-p15 INK4B antibody (D-12) enables researchers to effectively investigate the regulatory mechanisms of cell cycle control and the role of p15 INK4B in cancer biology, making anti-p15 INK4B antibody (D-12) an indispensable tool for studies focused on cell proliferation and tumor suppression.

What is the positive control that you recommend for the p15 antibody? Thank you.

Asked by: AshE
Thank you for your question. There are many possible controls you can use for p15, such as A549 Cell Lysate (sc-2413), HeLa Whole Cell Lysate (sc-2200) or JAR Cell Lysate (sc-2276).

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271791 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
