OPN Antibody (AKm2A1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Osteopontin (OPN) in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-OPN antibody (AKm2A1) is available in non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osteopontin, also known as bone sialoprotein 1, urinary stone protein, SPP1, Eta-1, nephropontin, and uropontin, is an extracellular matrix cell adhesion phosphoglycoprotein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes. Post-translational modifications of OPN, such as phosphorylation and glycosylation, significantly influence molecular weight and functional properties, enabling interactions with specific receptors and proteins to modulate cell adhesion, migration, and immune responses. OPN monoclonal antibody (AKm2A1) helps researchers study this protein, which is predominantly produced by osteoblasts and synthesized in brain and kidneys, demonstrating importance in both skeletal and non-skeletal tissues. The diverse functions of OPN, enhanced by structural variations from post-translational modifications, highlight significance in health and disease, making OPN (AKm2A1) antibody valuable for studying various biological contexts.
