NFATc2 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NFATc2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NFATc2 antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NFATc2, a member of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family, plays a crucial role in regulating cytokine expression in T cells, which is vital for immune response and inflammation. NFATc2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm under resting conditions and translocates to the nucleus upon activation by the calcium-dependent protein phosphatase calcineurin. This translocation is essential as NFATc2 interacts with other transcription factors, such as AP-1, to initiate the transcription of cytokine genes, thereby influencing T cell activation and differentiation. NFATc2′s ability to synergize with AP-1 is particularly important in the context of immune responses, as this interaction enhances the expression of key cytokines that are critical for effective immune function. Additionally, NFATc2 shares significant sequence identity with other NFAT family members, such as NFATc3 and NFATc4, which further underscores NFATc2′s importance in the regulation of immune responses.
