Mex3b Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Mex3b protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Mex3b (D-12) antibody is available non-conjugated or conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants. Mex3b protein belongs to the Mex-3 RNA-binding phosphoprotein family, contributing to post-transcriptional regulation for gene expression and cellular function. The Mex-3 family includes four conserved human homologs: Mex3a, Mex3b, Mex3c, and Mex3d, each featuring two KH (nuclear ribonucleoprotein K homology) domains and a C-terminal RING finger motif. These structural elements enable Mex3b to bind RNA and regulate target mRNA stability and translation. Mex3b and related proteins move between nucleus and cytoplasm through CRM1-dependent export, with post-translational modifications controlling their activity and interactions.
