L'anticorpo MEK-1/2 (9G3) è un anticorpo monoclonale di topo IgG2a contro la MEK-1/2 (designato anche come anticorpo MAP2K1, anticorpo MAP2K2 o anticorpo contro la proteina chinasi mitogeno-attivata) che rileva la proteina MEK-1/2 di origine murina, ratta, umana e canina mediante WB e IP. L'anticorpo MEK-1/2 (9G3) è disponibile come anticorpo anti-MEK-1/2 non coniugato. È stata identificata una famiglia di proteine chinasi situate a monte delle MAP chinasi e responsabili della loro attivazione. Il membro prototipo di questa famiglia, designato MAP chinasi chinasi, o MEK-1, fosforila specificamente i residui di treonina e tirosina regolatori delle MAP chinasi presenti nel motivo Thr-Glu-Tyr di ERK. Un secondo membro della famiglia MEK, MEK-2, assomiglia a MEK-1 nella sua specificità di substrato. MEK-3 (o MKK-3) ha la funzione di attivare la p38 MAP chinasi, mentre MEK-4 (chiamata anche SEK1 o MKK-4) attiva sia la p38 che la JNK MAP chinasi. Rated 2 di 5 di da please use this antibody with caution!I have previously recommended this antibody. I have thought this antibody can equally recognise the phosphor- and non-phosphor-form of MEK-1/2, according to the statement "recommended for detection of the activation loop of MEK-1 and MEK-2 (independent of its phosphorylation status)". However, recently I did a growth factor stimulation experiment. I suddenly realised that MEK-1/2 Antibody (9G3) appears to have a strong preference for the p-MEK-1/2 over non-p-MEK-1/2, but is not totally clean with non-p-MEK-1/2. Thus, it would be problematic to use this antibody, especially when the phosphorylation level is low. So, please use this antibody with caution!

Rated 5 di 5 di da great for WBThis ab has very good specificity and sensitivity for WB with MEK-1/2 from human, mouse and rat. The epitope is in the activation loop, for sequential WB using a phosphor-MEK-1/2 and this Ab, whether the binding of one ab will interfere with the binding of the other is not unknown.
