SEE ALSO...

IFN-α/βRβ Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IFN-α/βRβ of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IFN-α/βRβ antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IFN-α/βRβ plays a crucial role in immune response as part of the receptor complex that mediates type I interferon effects, which are vital for establishing an antiviral state in cells. This receptor complex is essential for binding and signaling of IFN-α and IFN-β, which are produced in response to viral infections and double-stranded RNA. IFN-α/βRβ binding and response to these interferons is critical for initiating appropriate immune response, thereby enhancing host defense against viral pathogens. IFN-α/βRβ is expressed as two alternatively spliced transcripts, IFN-α/βRα and IFN-α/βRβ, both integral to signal transduction and ligand binding, further underscoring IFN-α/βRβ importance in immune regulation.
