QUICK LINKS

GSK 2334470 is a potent and highly selective PKB Kinase inhibitor (IC50 ~ 10nM). This compound exhibits no effect on a variety of other kinases, including Aurora, ROCK, p38 MAPK and PI3K. This compound also suppresses T-loop phosphorylation and subsequent activation of PKB Kinase substrates S6K1, SGK, and RSK in HEK 293, U87, and mouse embryonic fibroblast cell lines. The selectivity of GSK 2334470 allows for determination of the role of PKB Kinase in various cell lines, including cancerous cell lines. This compound also has a limited inhibitory effect on Akt activation.
