Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Cytokeratin 13 (CK13) in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CK13 is a crucial component of the intermediate filament family, forming a heterotetramer with two type I acidic and two type II basic keratins, and typically associates with cytokeratin 4. CK13 is predominantly located in the cytoskeletal region of noncornified stratified squamous epithelia, playing a vital role in maintaining cellular integrity and providing mechanical support to epithelial cells.
