Cdc11 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc11 protein of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Cdc11 antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc11 plays a crucial role in cytokinesis, the process by which a cell divides its cytoplasm to form two daughter cells. Cdc11 is localized at the bud neck during cell division, ensuring that the division is executed correctly and that the daughter cells receive the appropriate cellular components. Such localization is vital for maintaining genomic stability and proper cell function, as errors in cytokinesis can lead to aneuploidy and other cellular dysfunctions. Additionally, Cdc11 interacts with other proteins involved in the cell cycle, such as Cdc42 and Cla4, which are essential for the polarization of budding and the regulation of cell morphology. The ability of Cdc11 to coordinate these processes highlights its importance in the life cycle of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, making Cdc11 (C-9) antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying cell division and related pathways in yeast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice clean single bandA single clean band against total yeast cell (S. cerevisiae) lysate prepared by TCA precipitation. However, band was quite larger than the expected size of Cdc11 (47 kDa). I did not have a negative control strain to confirm band identity.
