    SEE ALSO...

Calpain 15 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Calpain 15 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calpain 15 antibody (D-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Calpain 15, also known as CAPN15 or SOLH (small optic lobes homolog), is a crucial protein that plays a significant role in cellular processes, particularly in the brain where CAPN15 is most abundantly expressed. CAPN15 is a member of the peptidase C2 family and is characterized by a unique structure, which includes a single calpain catalytic domain and five RanBP2-type zinc fingers. These zinc fingers facilitate protein-protein interactions, which are essential for CAPN15′s function as an RNA-binding protein and transcription factor. CAPN15 is involved in the development of the visual system, highlighting CAPN15′s importance in neurodevelopmental processes. Located on human chromosome 16, CAPN15 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, further underscoring the complexity and versatility of CAPN15′s biological roles.
