Human Insulin, Solution is a 10 mg/ml Insulin solution in Hepes buffer, the Human Insulin used to prepare the solution is derived from Escherichia Coli. Human Insulin, Solution has been sterile-filtered and cell culture tested. The action of insulin in mammalian cell culture is primarily through the binding and activation of IGF-IR (IGF-1R). In mammalian cell culture, recombinant insulin is added at approximately 100 times the physiological concentration. Human Insulin, Solution at this high concentration acts as a growth factor, with anti-apoptotic and mitogenic effects. Human Insulin, Solution is an activator of insulin R.
