Cdc13 Antibody (6F11/2) is a high quality monoclonal Cdc13 antibody suitable for the detection of the Cdc13 protein of S. pombe origin. Cdc13 Antibody (6F11/2) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-Cdc13 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Cdc13 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. In eukaryotes, cell proliferation is controlled at specific stages of the cell cycle by distinct protein kinase complexes which consist of a catalytic subunit and a regulatory subunit. The cyclins comprise the regulatory subunits of these kinase complexes. Prokaryotic cyclins function in a similar manner to eukaryotic cyclins and are involved in cell cycle control and regulation. Cdc13 is a 482 amino acid Schizosaccharomyces pombe protein that contains one cyclin N-terminal domain and belongs to the cyclin family. Localized to the nucleus, Cdc13 functions as an essential regulatory component of the G2/M phase mitotic transition and is involved in cell cycle-induced cytoskeletal reorganization. Cdc13 is subject to post-translational phosphorylation on Ser 177, Ser 180 or Ser 183.
