    SEE ALSO...

CD1B3 Antibody (CC122) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD1B3 protein of human, bovine, and ovine origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD1B3 (CC122) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The CD1 multigene family encodes five distinct forms of CD1 T-cell surface glycoprotein in humans: CD1A, CD1B, CD1C, CD1D, and CD1E, which play a crucial role in immune response by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes. CD1B3, a 333 amino acid member of this family, is a type 1 membrane protein sharing structural similarities with MHC class I antigens, facilitating lipid-based antigen recognition. CD1B3 interacts with β-2-Microglobulin and expresses on various immune cells, including cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells, a subset of B cells, and certain dendritic cells. These interactions are vital for CD1-restricted T cell development and activation, as well as proper CD1 molecule trafficking, regulated by adaptor-protein complexes and CD1-associated chaperones. Constitutive endocytosis of CD1B molecules and differential sorting of MHC class II from lysosomes during dendritic cell maturation ensure effective separation of peptide- and lipid antigen-presenting pathways, highlighting CD1B3′s critical role in immune system functionality.

How can CD1B3 (CC122): sc-101831 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Cweed
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-101831 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-101831 FITC).
