ASB-9 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ASB-9 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASB-9 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASB-9, a member of the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) protein family, plays a crucial role in cellular regulation as a ubiquitin ligase. ASB-9 is composed of 294 amino acids, featuring six ankyrin repeats and a SOCS box domain, which allows specific interaction with creatine kinase-B, facilitating degradation and thereby regulating expression within the cell. This interaction maintains cellular homeostasis and energy metabolism, as creatine kinase-B is essential for ATP regeneration in muscle and brain tissues. ASB-9 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity in various biological processes.
