FXR Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FXR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FXR antibody (D-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FXR, also known as NR1H4, plays a crucial role in regulating bile acid homeostasis and lipid metabolism, making FXR essential for maintaining metabolic health. Located primarily in the liver and intestine, FXR functions as a nuclear receptor that, upon binding to ligands, regulates the expression of genes involved in bile acid synthesis and transport. This regulation is vital because dysregulation of bile acids can lead to metabolic disorders, liver diseases, and other health issues. FXR forms heterodimers with retinoid X receptor (RXR) and binds to specific DNA sequences known as response elements, thereby influencing gene transcription. FXR′s ability to interact with various lipid molecules, including farnesoids, further underscores FXR′s importance in metabolic signaling pathways.
